on Tuesdays at 6:30 pm. The
location is the Lotus Park
ball fields 1/2 mile west of
Hwy 49 and the river bridge
just north of  Coloma.

-Shire Picnic/Potluck will
beheld Sat. 9/26 at 3pm at
Clan Fergus Hall.
Musical instruments of
all kinds is the theme.(and
playing them)
Oct. 1
-Demo at Folsom Lake
College / El Dorado Center
 on Oct.first. Check here

October 12
-We will be doing a demo for
Gold Oaks school. We will
have a general assembly with
about two hours to do our
thing starting at 9:15 am.
Arts are strongly emphasised
at this demo. Following the
arts portion there will of
course be some raucous
fighting! Stay tuned here for

December 6
-Placerville Christmas

- The next Shire Meeting will
take place 10/15 at 7pm. The
location is the Round Table
Pizza in the TJ Max/Safeway
Plaza. This is in the NE
corner of the Hwy 50 /
Missouri Flat Rd. Call

get lost. All meetings are the
third Thursday of each month.

Welcome to the official Website for the wonderful Shire of Mountain's Gate.
We participate in "The Current Middle Ages" as members of the Society for
Creative Anachronism. Commonly known around the world as the SCA.
Mountain's Gate is within the Principality of Cynagua which is in turn within
The Kingdom of the West. Located in the El Dorado County area of the Sierra
Foothills, we are artists, Heavy Fighters ,Archers, cooks, parents, and all
manner of folk.  We even have  War Horses in training! We can never have
enough company or hear from too many people with similar interests. Our
blacksmith makes knives and spear tips. Our cooks do extensive research to
bring us the finest in Medieval cuisine. The underlying philosophy of
Mountain's Gate is FUN! All ye populace of the lowlands and river valleys are
encouraged to contact us. If you are already a citizen of Mountain's Gate (El
Dorado County) and would like to get involved with the Shire, please contact

area with a
meadow, stream,
shady woods and
spring water. All
this is privately
gated and
adjacent to El
Dorado National
Forest.
